Port-day planning

Make the port day count.

Pick one thing worth doing, then work backwards from your all-aboard time. Get that time from the ship, not from us, and leave more room than you think you need.

Pick one move

Choose one place on St. Thomas

Beach, food or history: start with the place that interests you. Confirm your actual berth, transport in both directions and the ship's all-aboard time before deciding what fits. Each place is an alternative main outing; opening its profile does not establish availability or a cruise-call departure.

Beach time

Magens Bay Authority

Magens Bay combines a north-coast St. Thomas beach with trails through woodland and mangroves. The authority lists food vendors and beach rentals, giving visitors options beyond time on the sand.

Check current beach conditions, admission and access with the authority, and arrange your return pickup.

Gladys' Cafe

Gladys’ Cafe serves casual Caribbean food at Royal Dane Mall on St. Thomas and sells its own hot sauce. Its website requires reservations for parties of six or more; contact the cafe before bringing a larger group.

Ask the restaurant about service on your visit date and any reservation requirements for your party.

Harbor history

Fort Christian Museum

Danish settlers built this red-walled stone fort in the 1670s to defend Charlotte Amalie Harbor, which it still overlooks. It has served since as a government building, a courthouse, a jail and a place of worship, and now works as a museum where visitors see the dungeons, courtroom, chapel and rooftop.

Confirm museum opening, admission and access for your visit date before setting out.

Havensight, Crown Bay, Charlotte Amalie waterfront or anchorage, and Frederiksted are distinct origins. Confirm the actual berth, current pedestrian route, ground transport, and call-specific return margin before choosing a plan.
